Welcome to GLN — What to Expect as a New Member
The chauffeured transportation industry runs on trust. A client in New York books a transfer in Dubai. An operator in London hands off a VIP arrival in Tokyo. For that to work without a single point of failure, the operators involved need to know exactly what they are getting from each other.
That is what GLN was built for. Not a directory. Not a marketplace. A controlled alliance of professional operators who have been vetted, approved, and committed to a shared standard.
This post walks you through what happens from the moment you are accepted to the moment your profile goes live.
How the process works
Joining GLN is a structured process. There are ten steps between your initial request and your first day as an active network member. Here is the full sequence:
- Request to Join — You submit the public application form at globallimonetwork.com/join-network. This is the entry point.
- Internal Review — GLN manually reviews your submission to confirm operator legitimacy and network fit before any further steps are taken.
- Account Creation — If your application passes review, GLN creates your account. You will receive login credentials by email.
- Password Reset — A separate email is sent prompting you to set a permanent password. This is a required step before you can continue.
- Payment — You log in and select your membership plan via the pricing page and complete payment. Access to the next steps requires a completed payment.
- Vetting Form — The link to the form is sent after payment is confirmed. This is a detailed form covering your company, operations, fleet, and documentation. It must be fully completed.
- Documentation Submission — As part of the vetting form, you will upload your business license, operating permits, insurance, fleet details, vehicle photos, and company logo.
- Vetting Review — GLN reviews everything submitted. This takes up to 72 business hours. You will be contacted by email with the outcome.
- Profile Creation — If approved, GLN builds your network profile. Members do not create or edit their own listings.
- Activation — Your profile goes live. You are now a visible, active member of the GLN network.
What GLN controls — and why
Several parts of this process are handled exclusively by GLN, not by the member. Account creation, profile creation, and profile updates all go through GLN directly. This is a quality control mechanism.
Every listing in the network represents a vetted operator. Standardized profiles ensure that when another member or client looks at a GLN listing, they are seeing accurate, consistent, verified information. That consistency is what makes the network trustworthy.
If you need to update your listing at any point after activation, you submit the request by email and GLN makes the change.
What you are committing to
GLN membership comes with clear operating standards. Before your profile goes live, it is worth being explicit about what those standards are:
- Own and operate your own fleet — GLN does not accept brokers or operators who outsource to non-GLN companies.
- Provide 24/7 dispatch or an Emergency Contact Number — Network partners depend on your availability. Gaps in dispatch coverage affect the entire network.
- Use uniformed professional chauffeurs — Service presentation is part of the GLN standard.
- No double farm-outs — When you receive a trip from a GLN partner, you execute it with your own fleet or through another GLN-listed operator. No exceptions.
